Can I give my tickets to someone else?

Yes! You can TRANSFER your tickets easily and legitimately and avoid the hassles of non-matching ID or other issues at the gate.

Using our transfer function will cancel your current ticket and generate a new bar code. This is the secure way to know your tickets are valid. Follow this link to transfer.

Are kids allowed to attend?

Yes! Children are welcome. Under 12’s are free. We have a child-checkin and family safety program – please register your child at the main gate upon arrival at the festival. ALL minors under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. 16-18 year olds may attend unaccompanied, but are NOT allowed in camping without an adult.

Camping

Is there family camping?

We have a designated “family zone” which is simply a slightly more “contained” area where kids can be safe and seen within a smaller boundary, with a bit of separation from the festival bowl itself. It’s not much quieter than the rest of the camp area, but some families may find it suitable. It’s first-come, first-served, so we recommend securing your spot early. You may also consider getting an off-site spot at Cumberland Lake Park Campground.

Is there on-site vehicle camping?

Not this year. We recommend Cumberland Lake Park Campground for vehicle camping. They have group spaces available, too… but book early!

Are there showers?

Yes, there is a shower block. Hours will be posted and a $2 donation is requested per shower.

Music and other activities

Not everyone wants to party all night long, so please refrain from making music after 11pm in the campzone. If you want to stay up and boogie, go get a Silent Disco headset! NO HAND-DRUMS between 10pm & 10am, please… we have neighbours to consider.

Fire & Water

Is there water on-site?

Definitely, we have free water fill stations throughout the festival grounds. Bringing your own non-glass refillable bottle and enjoy fresh water straight from the Comox glacier.

What about fire?

There is absolutely NO OPEN FLAME or Campfires allowed on site. We are right next to a forest, and there is a fire ban. Particularly in light of this summer’s wildfire situation, there is a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for open fire.

And fire toys?

These would fall under Open Flame… sorry, no fire toys. Stop by a vendor and grab some glow poi if you HAVE to spin while you’re there 🙂

What about cookstoves or bbq?

We do not encourage on-site cooking, as we have great food vendors and there are plenty of restaurants in the village, but if you must cook, fully contained butane stoves and table top bbqs are acceptable. YOU MUST check these in with the camp crew and SHOW your fire extinguisher. NO cooking without a fire extinguisher in your camp, period.

Banned items

For the purposes of safe and easy enjoyment for everyone, the following things are not allowed on the festival site.

Alcohol. This is an alcohol-free festival – there is no beer garden, there is no drinking in the festival site, period. You may consume in your campsite, but open liquor is not allowed within the festival bowl.

Glass. The festival grounds are grass… which doesn’t go well with GLASS. Bare dancing feet don’t react well to discovering shards of glass mid-step… please refrain from bringing glass onto the festival site (it will be taken away at bag check).

Fire. No open fires in camping or anywhere else. Period. Ever. We are on the edge of a forest, in the middle of summer. We don’t need to say anything more. You MAY bring a small butane or propane stove but you MUST have an appropriate fire extinguisher with you. Stoves found in use without an extinguisher will be removed and stored in our lockup until after the festival.

Pets. The park is a pet-free zone. We all love animals but the festival is no place for animals of any variety: it’s hot, and people are not focused on looking after them, nor cleaning up behind them. Please leave your pet at home with someone to care for it properly. It’s only fair to them, to you and the rest of the festivalgoers. Thank you.

Weapons. Do we even have to say this? We hope not. But there it is. Not allowed.

Lasers. Fun as they might seem, they are not designed as toys and can seriously damage vision if used incorrectly. The last thing you want is to be held responsible for someone else losing their vision by your inadvertent lack of attention to detail with your hand-held laser. Please leave them at home.

Thanks for reading all this. We hope you have an amazing weekend!
